The crown jewel of Lewitt’s Authentica line, the LCT 940 large-diaphragm condenser microphone, has revolutionised the modern recording process by offering nine directional characteristics for maximum flexibility. Because this mic combines the characteristics of both tube and FET technology, you can use it for virtually every imaginable situation. Choose between the ‘FET’ mode or the ‘Tube’ mode with a separated signal path, ensuring discrete, independent operation. Lewitt’s LCT 940 was nominated for the NAMM TEC Award in 2013, and voted ‘Editor’s Choice’ of Electronic Musician magazine.

The Lewitt LCT 940 microphone has two different modes: ‘Tube’ and ‘FET’ The ‘Tube’ mode delivers a classic, warm, rich tube sound, while the ‘FET’ mode offers the sparkling, clear, full sound Lewitt mics are known for. What’s more, this microphone features the unique option to blend both modes, creating even more possibilities for studio professionals. Most importantly, though, the LCT 940 boasts nine directional characteristics in total: omnidirectional, cardioid, figure 8, broad cardioid, supercardioid, and four additional so-called ‘in between’ characteristics. Additionally, it features four attenuation levels, four adjustable high-pass filters, an LED indicator and noiseless buttons; and to complete its long list of benefits, automatic attenuation and protection against clipping.
