Korg Kronos 73 Model 2015 Workstation

With the Kronos 73 model 2015, Korg astonishes once again – its collection of sounds and its remarkably flexible interface are impressive indeed. Like its predecessor, the Kronos X, this workstation is equipped with nine sound engines, but it now features newer sounds. It also boasts 21 GB of waveforms and 62 GB of free space, which can be filled with your own samples or with sounds you’ve downloaded from the online Kronos libraries. A large 800×600 multi-colour touch screen makes it easy to control all these options – you can effortlessly create your own live or studio sets. With the Kronos’s 73 semi-weighted keys, it’s possible to play both sultry piano pieces and funky organ parts.

Korg Kronos 73 model 2015: Nine Independent Sound Engines
Nine independent sound engines are responsible for the Kronos’s huge collection of sounds. In order to reproduce the PCM samples in all their glory, a lot of effort has been put into the HD-1 PCM engine, which delivers a high-quality performance. Chances of aliasing are minimal, and the applied filters do a top-notch job. The SGX-2 engine takes care of the acoustic piano sounds, making sure each tiny detail is minutely reproduced. You can even make your own adjustments to settings like string vibration, pedal performance, and the opening of the grand piano’s lid. Finally, there are separate engines for electric pianos and tonewheel organs, and the synths from the Legacy Analogy collection are properly represented as well.

Perfect for Studio and Stage
With their famous Karma technology, Korg was always at the forefront of workstation development. Redesigned and enhanced, Karma technology is once again featured on the Korg Kronos 73 model 2015, ensuring tight drum patterns, key phrases and backing tracks. You can create your own samples by means of the Open Sampling System, but it’s also possible to import them from your computer. The Kronos is perfectly compatible with most popular DAWs, but also features an internal sequencer for 16 MIDI tracks and 16 audio tracks. Finally, no fewer than 12 FX engines can be applied to your sounds, 2 additional FX engines can be configured as send/return, and 2 more FX engines can be used as master effects. That means you have a total of 16 simultaneous effects at your disposal!
