Basically, take a Neve 2254 and throw in a fistful of more modern-studio-standard functions and this is what you get. The bypass filter reins in the compressor, so it doesn’t react too drastically to the low-end, while further refined settings support in-depth, detailed work. Just like the 2254 compressor, the 10DCF sets you up with a compressor and limiter that are able to function independently, and gives you the power to combine a faster limiter with a slower compressor to gain ultimate control over the signal without experiencing obvious compression-based side-effects.
