The quilted maple top Lakland Skyline 55-02 Deluxe Natural Spalt 5-string bass comes with a few luxuriant extras that weren’t found on the standard 55-02. The quilted maple top and ash body have a natural finish, allowing the naturally complex look of the wood to shine. The sound is every bit as luxuriant and has been beautifully balanced. This is an extra-long scale bass with a 35-inch scale length, keeping the low B-string super tight in both sound and feel. This playing feel is also supported by the near-perfect fretboard: 100% Chicago-made, its exacting form has been shaped within micromillimetres. To finish, the MM/J pickups and LH3 preamp offer immense dynamics and flexibility.
