2box DrumIT 5 MKII electronic drum kit

Original price was: €2,640.Current price is: €1,990.

The hardware of the 2Box DrumIt 5 is made of lightweight aluminium and very easy to set up. Thanks to the flexible Ball Lock system, you can position all the pads and cymbals just the way you want them. The hi-hat pedal can be attached to the bottom horizontal bar, which ensures it will stay firmly in place. Very handy when the going gets rough.

DrumIt 5 MKII: pads
The 2Box DrumIt Five’s pads vary in size from 8 to 14 inches. Every pad is equipped with sensors in the centre and at the rim, so that rimshots and rimclicks are also possible. The hi-hat works just like an acoustic one would, as it has a pedal that you can press to move the cymbals up and down. A sensor registers the vertical movement, and together with the sensor in the cymbal itself, that creates an extensive collection of sounds that come eerily close to the real thing.

The other cymbals each have three playing zones (bell, bow and edge) that ensure they behave just like their acoustic counterparts would. Furthermore, as they’re free to move about on their stands, their entire surface is playable. All cymbals have a silent rubber surface that offers excellent rebound. The cymbals and pads are all made of cast aluminium, to ensure they’re both lightweight and durable.

Trigger system and module
The trigger system is highly sensitive, resulting in an excellent dynamic range. The module has 10 dual function trigger inputs and a stereo input for an external audio source, such as a CD player. Six mono line-out channels allow the pads and cymbals to be mixed separately, and it also features a headphone output.

The module uses a 24-bit compression format for its monitor system, so that the quality of the sound is maintained. For mixing the individual parts, you can choose between direct reproduction, overhead and ambiance settings. It’s also possible to use an extra channel for special effects.

128 drum kits
The module contains 128 preset drum kits that are freely adjustable. You can add your own sounds with the USB port, and with the PC/Mac editor software you can easily compose your own drum kits. These can use multiple samples for optimal realism. The software can use WAV, AIFF and REX files. Combine that with the sounds from the DrumIt library, and you’ll be able to easily adjust the sound to your preferences, and with the virtual pads you can preview your custom kit.
