For a sublime, high-quality Dreadnought with solid Sitka spruce and mahogany parts, Yamaha offers the A5M ARE. It’s an electro-acoustic steel-string guitar with an A.R.E-treated top that gives the acoustic tone a characteristic sound much like a genuine, worn flat-top. The humidity level in this guitar’s top has been reduced to the amount that would normally be measured in an authentic vintage guitar, and the natural high-gloss finish gives it an antique-looking yellow tint. In keeping with this look and feel, the mahogany neck has a satin-gloss finish. This Yamaha was made in Japan and comes with a robust hard-shell case.

A5M ARE: scalloped bracing, TUSQ and amplification
The resulting extra rich tonal character with a touch of warm creaminess gives this acoustic guitar more volume than its predecessor. Thanks to Yamaha’s patented A.R.E process and X-scalloped bracing, the MKII’s spruce top resonates more freely. As well as tuning stability, the TUSQ bridge and string nut add clarity to the total sound. The System71 preamp ensures high-grade sound thanks to an SRT piëzo pickup. Using the mic blend control, this A5M ARE guitar will sound like it was recorded by a top-notch condenser microphone. You won’t have to worry about unwanted feedback either thanks to the Auto Feedback Reduction knob.
