The S6X is one of the most ambitious studio monitors on the market today. It can be found in a number of high-end, elite professional studios that have the very best recording and mixing facilities in the world. The concept of positioning the drivers in horizontal symmetry was influenced by the diaphragms, which are quite large in diameter. This means that the exceptionally balanced frequency response and a realistic dynamic range that covers then entire audio spectrum.

Features of the S6X by Adam
A large number of controls on the front of this monitor make it possible to make detailed adjustments to suit the acoustics of any room. This main monitor is very accurate and has more than enough output capacity to get the job done. This enables you to reach SPL peaks above 120 dB, without compression or distortion. The S6X is a top-shelf choice for large control rooms or recording studios.

Front panel features
There are various controls on the front panel that introduce new ways of operating your monitor. As well as inputs amplification, there are also level controls for each of the four drivers and shelving filters for both ends of the entire frequency range. There are three complete parametric equalizers (20 – 200 Hz) for conquering vertical waves. The equalizers can be bypassed individually or as a group, and the total effect can be analysed in direct comparison to the non-influenced signal.

In large mixing rooms for film, it’s often desirable to have an exact copy of the sound in the movie theatre, ensuring the best possible result. In order to meet the ISO 2969 standard, you can apply the Dolby X curve. With pink noise, the X-curve tackles 3 dB per octave roll-off above the 2 kHz. The S6X has a switch to activate this filter, so you don’t need to use extra processors during the mix. A second switch is an input on the front that’s suitable for connecting extra equipment. For full customisation possibilities, the LED indicators can even be dimmed separately.
