Sequential OB-6 (module) Analogue Synthesizer Module

Built by Sequential (formally Dave Smith Instruments), the OB-6 analogue synthesizer module is essentially the same as the keyboard-equipped version, but in a handy-sized retro-style unit. It has the same functionality, the same connectors and the same great sound. Just like the synth, this module was developed by Sequential and Tom Oberheim. This fully-analogue synth module may have an authentic vintage look and sound, but it also has digital effects on board and modern features like MIDI, USB-MIDI, LEDs and room for hundreds of presets.

The Sequential Instruments OB-6 Module
This six-voice polyphonic analogue synth module has two discrete voltage-controlled oscillators, a sub oscillator and a noise oscillator per voice and because they’re analogue, they have rich overtones too. Their combined signal is sent to a 12 dB filter (with low-pass, band-pass, high-pass and notch functionality), so you can colour the spectrum. An analogue VCA follows and a comprehensive, studio-grade effects section completes the picture. Along the way, you’ll have plenty of possibilities to shape your sound by means of envelopes, LFO, various routing options and real-time controls. In other words, you’ll certainly get the chance to express yourself musically!
