Pioneer DJM-S7

The long-awaited successor to the DJM-S9 is finally here: The Pioneer DJM-S7! This two-channel battle mixer is compatible with Rekordbox DJ and Serato DJ Pro (Hardware Unlocked). Next to some of the same features the old popular DJM-S11 is equipped with, the new and future-proof DJM-S7 offers Loop MIDI functionality and Bluetooth. The Loop MIDI function has been incorporated into the effects section and enables DJs to send repetitive MIDI signals to their software in a pre-set beat cycle, meaning it’s now possible to programme and activate software-based functions in series. Needless to say, the Bluetooth interface loaded into the DJM-S7 is a nice and modern touch and allows you to quickly link up your phone, tablet or laptop without the need for any cables.

Maximum Scratch Performance Guaranteed
If we take a closer look at the Pioneer DJM-S7, we can tell it’s equipped with eight large performance pads per channel, which means hot cues and samples can be triggered amazingly fast. Different pad modes can even be assigned, so it’s also possible to activate two different functions at the same time to drop even more imposing beats and lift your set to the highest possible level. Scratch Bank mode can be engaged to load in samples from four scratch banks assigned in Serato DJ Pro, while the Magvel Fader Pro is enhanced with 30% extra rigidity for absolute maximum scratch performance.

Integrated USB Hub & More
The problem with a lot of DJ gear is that you end up running out of free laptop USB ports. That’s definitely not the case with the DJM-S7, since Pioneer have thoughtfully built in a USB hub so you can plug all of your controllers and other gear into the double USB-A ports. As mentioned, the DJM-S7 also serves as a hardware-unlock device for Serato DJ Pro, including Serato DVS and the Serato Pitch ‘n Time expansion pack.
