JZ Microphones BH-1s Black Hole Condenser Microphone

Original price was: €1,600.Current price is: €1,190.

JZ Microphones haven’t been around for that long yet already have a gigantic standing in the world of high grade condensers. The Black Hole BH-1s condenser microphone is the as yet undisputed reigning monarch among JA microphones and is capable of effortlessly accommodating the most extreme demands of any audio engineer. Fully separate components, hand-soldered wiring, a Golden Drop capsule 2 and the choice of cardioid, figure 8 and omnidirectional pickup patterns, ensure the unrivalled recording quality of the Black Hole BH-1s.

Three Pickup Patterns
The Black Hole BH-1s is unique in more ways than one. The gold-spattered Golden Drop capsule, or ‘GDC’, is fitted with two 27mm large diaphragms that have been placed one after the other. While you find this design in every JZ microphone, this is the GDC2 with even further enhanced dynamic response making for an unbelievably flexible microphone that seamlessly adjusts to any changes in sound-sources, no matter how dramatic. The positioning of the two diaphragms also means a faster return to their original positions for even more precisely detailed recordings.

JZ Microphones
All JZ microphones are built using the highest grade components and electronics. Every example is manufactured by hand and thoroughly tested. The result is a pure and impeccably clean audio signal. Another advantage of the hand-soldered wiring is that every part is fully protected from overheating while the circuit has been developed so that, while this mic has all of the dynamic range of a valve-microphone, no valve or possibly noisy transformers are needed.
