Trestle bracing consists of wooden braces that are placed underneath to top to reduce unwanted vibration, hardly affecting the guitar’s weight or the natural resonance of the instrument’s body. More than 50 years after it was first invented, this type of bracing is still used for Gretsch’s more exclusive models.
