Electro-Voice drop the ETX-18SP: a commanding, stage-ready bass bin packed with an 18″ woofer to deliver powerful sound. Encased in solid, black-cloaked wooden panels, this active subwoofer is able to convert its 1800-Watt power capacity into a maximum sound pressure level of 135dB while covering a frequency range that spans 28 to 180 Hertz. Team the ETX-18SP up with a pair of speakers, and you’re not only treated to fierce full-range sound, but given the option to set the crossover point for the sub using the adjustable low-pass function of the built-in DSP. Finished with a solid set of handles, this sub is fully prepared to go on stage.

The entire construction of the Electro-Voice ETX-18SP rests on rubber feet that raise the sub a little to make sure the sound doesn’t distort as it hits the ground. Removable wheels come included and can be mounted as needed. Meanwhile, the integrated DSP comes with a nicely-packed back control panel including an LCD display where the unit can be dialled in to suit the situation – any situation. To finish, you get two XLR-jack combo inputs with volume controls, two XLR link outputs, and a 35mm stand flange for fitting a speaker pole.
