The YC name stems from Yamaha’s vintage-rich history back when they built combo organs. A few years ago, Yamaha presented the Reface YC, which may have brimmed with organ sounds but doesn’t come close to the all-encompassing character of this YC61 loaded with Yamaha icons like the CFX and C7 pianos and electric pianos like the CP70, CP80 and DX-E models. Drawbars allow you to sculpt your own organ sound while the rest of the face of this stage keyboard has been fitted with rotary knobs and buttons because after all, live settings don’t really allow you the time to scroll through extensive menus.

The Finishing Touches
Of course, no stage keyboard is ever complete without a handful of effects. Not only because a little reverb sounds great on pianos and pads but because vintage organs can make grateful use of effects. Next to reverb, you’re getting speaker/amp effects , a 3-band master EQ with adjustable mids and a looper to unleash your creativity.
