The Roland FR-1X RD is a compact and lightweight digital accordion with 26 keys and 72 bass buttons. The smallest V-Accordion ever is equipped with a built-in speaker system and is powered via an AC adapter or by eight AA batteries. This means you can use this digital accordion anywhere, which makes it ideal for travelling musicians. In comparison to the FR-1, the Roland FR-1X is equipped with some new features, including USB functionality and additional high-grade sounds. The improved bellows-pressure circuitry ensures that you can play with even more expression and precision.

The sound of the FR-1X RD
The Roland FR-1X features ten famous accordion models, which allow you to play nearly any music style, from Shanti songs to Jazz and from French musette to German folk music. There is also a range of orchestra sounds, virtual tone wheel organs with realistic rotary effects, drums and percussion sounds to choose from.

The technology
The Roland FR-1X is so small that you can even take it along as hand luggage on regular flights – you’ll be able to fit in into nearly any baggage compartment without any effort. Its moderate weight of 6.5 kilos won’t pose any problems either. As the FR-1X can be powered by batteries and is fitted with built-in speakers, it is ideal for mobile applications. The built-in speaker system provides an excellent sound and you can also plug in your headphones, for instance when you are practising late at night. All these great functions make the Roland FR-1X perfect for nearly any accordion player, young or old, beginner or seasoned professional.
