Could this be the smallest Hammond ever made? Probably. One thing is for certain: the Hammond XK-1c possesses the unmistakable Hammond sound. The brutal musical power that used to only be possible with an instrument that weighed a ton and required a Leslie box is now possible with the modern, portable XK-1c. Thanks to the VASE III engine (highly-praised in the Hammond SK series), the XK-1c sounds just like a Hammond is supposed to sound. A tonewheel simulator, transistor organs, and even pipe organs are all at your disposal, and that’s it. This drawbar keyboard doesn’t have any other sounds or extra bells and whistles. With 9 drawbars and 5-octave waterfall keys, this drawbar is sure to fill the fundamental need of any Hammond enthusiast!

Hammond XK-1c: Hammond Evolution
The authentic Hammonds of yesteryear are alive and well in the XK-1c. Thanks to a digital sound generator, you can create your own personalised user presets which you can customise note for note, tonewheel for tonewheel. Your tone will boast even more flavour and life than ever before! With the addition of a digital Leslie simulation, it offers a very realistic response and is sure to lift your performance to new heights, especially in your choruses and solos. Should you prefer an actual Leslie, however, you can easily connect one using the 8-pin connector on the rear. For an extra dose of edginess, turn up the overdrive and see what happens!

Wide Array of Organs
The XK-1c features classic Hammond tonewheel organ sounds as well as Vox Continental and Farfisa presets, which enlarge its repertoire considerably. It even has a classic pipe organ, which allows the drawbars to function as registers for the various pipe organ voices (including Bourdon, Gedackt, Mixture and Trumpet). The XK-1c has 64 factory presets and offers another 64 to be customised and set by the user. For fine-tuning your sound, there are various effects available such as chorus, vibrato, multi-effects, and an equalizer. Using MIDI, you can assign three zones externally for even more tonal possibilities! All in all, the XK-1c puts all that unadulterated Hammond charm into a compact, modern, user-friendly instrument.
