If you spot a bunch of keyboards up on the stage, they’ll likely be Clavia Nords. These characteristically red keyboards are often fan favourites among professional musicians. Clavia Nord’s Electro Series is focussed specifcially on electro-mechanical keyboard instruments, like Hammond organs, and on acoustic keyboard instruments like pianos. This 6D 73 stage keyboard features 73 semi-weighted keys with rounded waterfall edges that, in combination with nine physical drawbars, make for a genuine organ playing experience. Naturally, the 6D can just as well be played as a piano.

Successor to the 5D
As you can probably tell by its name, the Electro 6D replaces its 5D series sibling, but what’s actually been added or improved? Seamless Transitions now make it possible to switch between the piano, sample synth and organ sections flawlessly while you’re playing and you can use the split and layer functions to use more than one sound at a time or combine them together. The new interface makes it easy to control the 6D’s features and the handy Organize mode allows you to quickly arrange programs in any order you desire. The piano section’s voice polyphony has been extended and there are more filters too. The sample synth section also has an extended voice polyphony and more memory and the organ section has two additional pipe organ sounds and a Dual Organ mode.

Keyboards in the Electro series are built to perform and each top-quality sound can be quickly and easily adjusted according to your preferences. It’s even possible to replace certain sounds via the USB connector and your computer. Various audio, MIDI and pedal inputs and outputs give the 6D endless possibilities.
