At only 500 grams, the Silent Violin weighs about the same as an acoustic version. The neck and tail piece have been modelled after the traditional violin, which makes the transition for acoustic players a little easier.

SV-250: Versatile
Yamaha have given the SV-250 Silent Violin an innovative dual pickup system so the player can blend edgy electric effects with rich acoustic sounds. It comes with an external control box with a powerful preamp, master volume, treble and bass controls. What’s more, there’s a jack cable and balanced XLR connector and a headphone output for practising in silence. This high-quality Yamaha instrument has an ebony fretboard and machine heads.
