Both of the mounted Ultra Noiseless Vintage Tele single-coils wield tight Alnico-V sound with a little extra gain than standard, while maintaining a clean, hum-free signal, and by popping the volume pot, the S-1 switch is activated, placing both pickups in parallel for thicker, humbucker style output. Backing all of this up with stable intonation and firm tuning is a smooth-operating TUSQ nut and a set of Fender’s own Deluxe Staggered locking tuners.
