Bearing many of the same authentic feature of the original 1958 Explorer, the neck of the left-handed Gibson Original Designer has been glued into the mahogany body, elevating resonance and enhancing sustain, while to ensure that the legendary, irksome body-shape is given all the room it needs to shine, it’s been coated in a warm and transparent nitrocellulose high-gloss lacquer. Topped with two Burstbuckers, this reincarnation of the Explorer delivers authentic tone backed up gain that has that unmistakable PAF-style flavour. Rein it all in with the provided pair of volume pots and single tone pot, and mix or flip between the 3rd edition bridge pickup and 2nd edition neck pickup using the three-way switch.
